Competitions

Everyone likes a competition now and again. Especially when your trying different tactics. But I like to keep the competition fair and Ive introduced some rules. Misuse of these rules will result in DISQUALIFICATION! I will ensure that there is no misunderstanding and so you all know: not all of our fishing trips are competition.

These Rules:

1. Bait must be bought by yourself unless fishing in teams

2. Tactics must not be shared with the oposing team until after the event

3. Photographs MUST be taken of each and every catch. NO PHOTO NO CATCH

4. There is no limit on amount of rods

5. Live bait may be caught during the competition

6. A log must be kept of fish caught and at what time using the provided form

7. All fish caught must be caught using a rod.

In concern of rule 5 and 7: Live Bait Nets may be used as a way of catching live bait during the competition, however and fish caught in the nets will not be counted but may still be photographed if you desire. All fish caught must be caught using a rod.

Survival Competitions

I am sure many of you have seen the ever popular Discovery RealTime programme Reel Wars. Well that is where I thought, "We could do that".  It is risky with the rule of catching your own food and not taking your own but it brings more of a challenge to the sport!

The Rules:

1. Bait must be bought by yourself unless fishing in teams or caught in a bait net/crab line

2. Photographs MUST be taken of each and every catch. NO PHOTO NO CATCH

3. There is no limit on amount of rods

4. Live bait may be caught during the competition

5. A log must be kept of fish caught and at what time using the provided form

6. All fish caught must be caught using a rod.

7. No food is to be smuggled into the fishing grounds other than listed below for safety reasons:

Sandwiches - To your preference

2 Medium Chocolate Bars

2 Packets Of Crisps

All Drinks are allowed as risk of dehydration

8. Camping stoves are recommended to cook your fish unless you like sushi.
